After many years of traveling and working on cruise ships (Holland America and Norwegian America Lines) around the world, Stella Alpina owners Anneke and Carmelo settled in Canmore almost twenty years ago, and fell in love with the area. Anneke and Carmelo speak several European languages.

Together with their two grown children they have become expert hikers, skiers and naturalists as they continue to explore the natural wonders of the Canadian Rockies. Their friendships with the local tourism operators and the rest of the business community can assure you get the best service for your needs, be it guided tours of the back country, equipment rentals, or a fine meal in one of Canmore's many exquisite restaurants.
